21 Days of Prayer

21 Days of Prayer

Going into the new year, I knew I wanted to step all the way into my relationship with the Lord rather than 1/2 way, as I realized I had done in 2020. For me, not going all in was my way of assuring myself that God would be there for me when I needed something, and that I was “too busy” to invest in something at the time. Sure, God would never leave your side, but truly investing yourself in the Lord and giving him all of your time and attention is a way of reaffirming your faith and claiming that you trust his plans for your life. I feel like the world has led many people to see God as intimidating and complicated. We allow the enemy to take a hold of a special gift and sacrifice from the one true lord above. A relationship with God is more than time or routine or a temporary pleasure, it is a lifelong sacrifice for everlasting joy and faith.

Leading up into the new year with prayer, I knew my part-time commitment was not what I knew, in my heart, living for the Lord truly was. I knew I wanted to start in an invested journey, not as a task or requirement, but as a way to better myself and my overall joy. By seeking the Lord first thing every morning, and truly knowing that God is on this journey of life with you, he will begin working in ways you could never imagine. He will give you purpose in your pain and healing from disease. He will give you freedom from bondage and open your eyes to a vision for your life. He will give you blessing over trouble and victory over the enemy. All of these things claim this one truth: GOD is GOOD!

21 Days of Prayer @churchofthehighlands gives us the exact answer into how we can see these truths in our every day life, and experience the blessings from the one above.

RETURN TO ME

The theme of these 21 days gives the answer. By constantly devoting your day and actions into seeking the Lord and his goals for our life, we are able to reap a harvest. Many of the daily focuses for these past 14 days give us the exact way we can ensure that we continuously return to the Lord.

  • Dependence on God

  • Surrender to God

  • Commit to God

  • Obey God

  • Experience God

  • Giving thanks to God

All of these continually remind me the ways in which I can not only see God in my day to day actions, but create a new and more life-fulfilling relationship with the one true King. God is not scary or intimidating. He is anything but this. We just have to take a leap of faith and return to the Lord in order to truly see the blessings and freedom he blesses us with. By seeking God’s word through 21 days of prayer online each morning, I am reaffirming my trust in the Lord and starting my day with truth, rather than the lies that can creep into daily actions without realization.

Theme verse for 21 Days of Prayer (so amazing) :

Joel 2:13 - “Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity.”

Remember***

  • God is not a conditional god

  • He is gracious and compassionate and will never forsake us

  • Seeking His word each day is starting a best-selling book of life

  • He loves you, and wants to hear from YOU

Go into this week seeking the goodness of God’s word and watch his blessings flow from your life!!! He is oh so good and desires to hear from his creation each day!
