Symphony
Sometimes life seems like nothing is going right. Days feel long, the world is in chaos, and everything seems to be falling apart. This is part of life. Life is a continuous whirlwind of challenges and uncertainty, which can oftentimes lead you question your trust in God. Have you ever questioned your trust of God? If so, your not alone. Trust is something that shakes loose if we don’t secure it tightly. Because of this, God calls us to draw near to him in every circumstance we face. He is there, even if we cannot see.
The other day when I was in the car, I stumbled across the song “Symphony”. As I listened to the words, my heart turned to God. The song begins by saying “Darkness echoes all around, Feels like everything is crashing down”, however, it doesn't stop here, it goes on to. say: “Still I know where my hope is found, and its only You”. These words are so powerful. Upon hearing these words, I felt this related perfectly to the craziness of the world going on today. In the midst of darkness filling the world, Jesus is there to be our hope and shelter and lead us to victory. The world is filled with wickedness and corruption because of the fallen state of the earth and humanity, but God is still good (Mark 10:18). Throughout any circumstance, he never leaves us. He has given us the Holy Spirit to live inside of us.
My favorite verse of the song says this: “‘Cause even in the madness There is peace Drowning out the voices all around me, Through all of this chaos You are writing a symphony”. These words correlate to every event to take place in the midst of challenging circumstances we are surrounded with. The devil will try and bring us down in any way he can, but with the Lord, the voices will be drowned out, and a symphony will be made. When God wants to use people to show is power, he uses trials. In the Bible Paul said that, “through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God” (Acts 14:22).
I truly believe that no matter what you are facing, God is creating a symphony within you, to show his power to the world. Trials are part of Gods work, and there is no pain without a purpose. So, as you go into the midst of everyday challenges, remember, that no matter what you are facing, God is creating a symphony within you, to glorify his name and show others he is good!
“ We rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us” Romans 5: 3-5.
Rest on this verse as you face each day, and remember that trials are an opportunity to draw near to God. Because, after all, GOD IS GOOD! ——— all the time! :)))
